Pray For Those Pastors Who Have Hurt You

The sad truth is there are pastors and leaders who are in a position for their own gain and desires.
These type of controlling pastors have hurt many people.
These types of pastors can be described as:   controllers, manipulators, narcissists, cult leaders, false pastors and dictators just to name a few.
I have seen varying degrees of these types of leadership with some being more damaging than others.   But worse yet, I have seen the negative effects and damage these types of pastors/leaders have inflicted on people.
Here are some characteristics of an ungodly, narcissist pastor/leader:
*He tells you that as your pastor he is your ‘anointing cover.”
*He name drops of high profile ministers he knows.
*He feels the church is riding on the coattail of his anointing and faith.
*He keeps reminding you from the pulpit what a good teacher he is.
*He removes associate pastors who preach better than him or is more popular than he is.
*He makes people feel that they cannot make important decisions and know God’s will without him.
*He exalts himself before ‘his’ people all under the guise of how humble he is.
*He treats people who leave ‘his’ church as fools.    All kindness and friendship is withdrawn.
*He is accountable to NO one.
*He threatens those who leave ‘his’ church with fear.  He tells them they are in rebellion, God’s blessing and favor will be lifted from their life, they will no longer enjoy the over-flow of his anointing and Satan will have free reign over their lives.
*He is insensitive to the feelings and needs of others.
*He always has to be right.  He has to look good in front of others.
*He is a conversation controller.
  *He always feels misunderstood.
*He feels that he has been taken advantage of over and over----he has a “knife in the back syndrome”.
Satan will cause you to think that the controlling pastor’s influence is greater than it is.  Don’t give in to Satan’s lies and intimidation.
Trust God to be your strength and defense.   Keep your heart pure, forgive and pray!
Pray for those who have abused, cursed and hurt you.  Pray that they will come to a place of true repentance.

 1 I have a message from God in my heart
   concerning the sinfulness of the wicked:
There is no fear of God
   before their eyes.
 2 In their own eyes they flatter themselves
   too much to detect or hate their sin.
3
The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful;
   they fail to act wisely or do good.
4
Even on their beds they plot evil;
   they commit themselves to a sinful course
   and do not reject what is wrong.
 5 Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens,
   your faithfulness to the skies.
6
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
   your justice like the great deep.
   You, LORD, preserve both people and animals.
7
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
   People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
8
They feast on the abundance of your house;
   you give them drink from your river of delights.
9
For with you is the fountain of life;
   in your light we see light.
 10 Continue your love to those who know you,
   your righteousness to the upright in heart.
11
May the foot of the proud not come against me,
   nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12
See how the evildoers lie fallen—
   thrown down, not able to rise!”      Psalm 36   NIV

Jesus Loves Me!
